Excellent steamer that fits most pans. We’ve used this style for years and this is the best price I’ve ever seen. I haven’t found them in the store, so I ordered them on Amazon and got two!

Functional; best for taller pots
We bought two of these to replace much older ones that were beginning to fall apart. We use them to steam vegetables and make hard-cooked eggs. Overall, they are functional, but the quality is slightly less than I would like.PRO: These are larger than our old ones, so they hold a little more and also work better in our larger-diameter stock pot than our old ones did. The legs on these steamers are tall enough to allow for a reasonable amount of water for steaming.CON: The feet are attached with screws, the tops of which are rougher and sharper than the smooth rounded heads of the pins securing the feet of our old steamers. (It hasn’t caused a problem with any of the foods I have cooked so far.) The center stem is easily bent from side to side, which makes me wonder how strong and well-secured it actually is. And although the steamer fits well into our 3-quart Reverware saucepan, it’s too tall to fit in the shorter 2-quart saucepan with the lid on. (We had to keep one of the older steamers to use in that pot.)

I can’t praise this product enough. My great grandmother used one of these and I have ever since I’ve been old enough to cook! I use this multiple times a week and we run it through the dishwasher. The price you’re paying for what you’re getting is amazing. Will this last 5 plus years? No, not if you’re frequently using it. But anything being used at high high degree temps isn’t gonna last 5 years if you’re paying $10 or less for it. My last one I used for almost two years before it broke. It’s heat resistant and can hold a lot of food or a little, this is dependent on the pot you’re using! I use a small sauce pot and I use a large pasta pot, it works with almost any size! One aspect I’ve always disliked is that the ring in the middle is extremely difficult to use to remove the hot food from the pot. I wish there was an easier way to do it that way because it would save me a lot of time, otherwise this is amazing!!
