CLEAN PRODUCT FOR CLEANING TOWELS AND CLOTHING
I love the fact that their is no synthetic chemical perfumy odor left in my laundry from this product. If an item is actually clean, it should have no scent. A lot of people are sensitive to chemical odors. I, as well as other people that I encounter don’t have to endure exposure to irritating chemicals emanating from my clothes. I would hate tobe identified by the laundry detergent I am wearing.

Works great even on tough odors!
This stuff is great. I only use a 1/2 capful for my HE washer. It’s organic but actually gets the job done without using those nasty chemicals. My whole family loves this soap! I add a little vinegar to my wash to help with odors too!

Scentless. But gentle on clothes.
We use this for our cloth diapers originally and now I’m starting to use it on my clothes as well. Gets them nice and clean. Lots of washes in such a small bottle. I thought I’d run out by now but I haven’t. Not much for stain treatment, but prevents stains nicely. Meaning- I don’t have new stains on my diapers, but the stains we may have already had- like spaghetti sauce on the outside- didn’t come up. Planning to buy more from this brand.like thr specifically formulated again and scent treatment- all in all though, Good stuff.

Gain is gone!
I just started using this product today and so far I love it. Being a Gain person for years, I am suprised by how much I love the biokleen detergent. I will definitely be purchasing it in the future!!

Best Fragrance Free Detergent
I have tried numerous fragrance free laundry detergents, and this one is hands down my favorite. I have used All Free & Clear, Charlie’s Soap, and a Canadian brand I can no longer get here. Besides the Canadian one, this is the best I’ve used. It gets clothes clean, has no offensive smell, does not bother my chemical sensitivities, and is cost effective based on the price per load. I like that I don’t have to use a lot. I use the same amount in each load – to the fill line halfway inside the cap. I have to order it from Amazon, because none of the local stores carry the fragrance free version, which I have to have. Thank you Amazon!

Clothes pass the Adult Sniff Test
College sniff test: I had 1 set of gym clothes & worked out daily. Dried them nightly on my chair. Once a month I’d gather quarters from a friend’s couch and do 1 overstuffed load. I think I used dr. Bronners or whatever soap was around.Grad School sniff test: “Does it smell too yucky to wear again?” A standard based on efficiency of time & status quo. Tide w/ Bleach got my business. I smelled like perfume & my skin itched. Laundry happened every couple weeks. If nobody complained there wasn’t a problem.Thirties: Marriage taught me something. The yuck test became “does it smell clean?” The standard was no longer level of disgust but the need to show up. And that meant being clean & not itching. All Free & Clear was my choice. For laundry soap.Turning 40: Well folks, it’s about quality. This is good stuff. My clothes (& my boyfriend’s clothes, so see, I learned) smell actually-clean. It’s pricey but a little goes a long way. Maybe the house renovations should be done before we graduate to things like biokleen & permanence. I ordered some Tide Free & Gentle. Seems dangerously close to All Free & Clear, doesn’t it. But what do I know. Ask me in 10 years.

Great for those with sensitive skin!
After having an allergy test done, there are very few laundry detergents I can use. I decided to give this one a try as it was on my safe list.Cleans clothes well. It has a small cup lid and doesn’t take much per load. As for the smell, it is a faint, natural smell. I prefer that over the really strong detergent smells. Also, no skin rashes, so that’s super win! Will purchase again.

BAIT AND SWITCH!
Changed formula and ownership. This product, in years past, had a reputation for its high quality and environmentally friendly components. Not so anymore. Biokleen as a brand is now owned by Wieman Products, a subsidiary of The Carlyle Group, an equity firm with $222 Billion in assets. As with many other natural and environmentally friendly brands, the formula has been changed and now includes some questionable ingredients while keeping up appearances as a “green” product. The sleaziest practice in my opinion is that, here on Amazon, the old packaging and ingredient list are used. The second ingredient listed on the new formula is C12-16 PARETH-7, which according to the EWG website gets a “C” grade and has known links to skin allergies and irritation. Another addition is that of PHENOXYETHANOL, and while not as egregious as the former ingredient, it has been linked with Developmental & Reproductive Toxicity. This is a sad goodbye to a product I loved and felt good about using. Shame on these companies whose sole purpose is making a profit at the expense of people’s health, especially that of children. We as a collective should make our voices heard with what we choose to invest in.I’m including images of the old and new formula so that you can make an informed decision for yourself.
