Great shorts for under dresses, esp plus size
I have been super pleased with these shorts!! They did run a bit bigger/longer than I expected, but that’s likely because I’m short. I got these to wear under dresses to prevent Chub Rub, and they have been fantastic. They don’t ride up, they’re moisture-wicking, and super comfortable all day. Being short and fat with proportional fat distribution [read: my thighs are fat, and so is my butt], I was thrilled to find these fit *everywhere*. I know this review seems enthusiastic and glowing, but when you have as much trouble finding clothes that fit well and do their job as I do, you’d be hyped too =PAll that said, some things to note for others: I do have to wear these with the waistband up above my navel/below bust due to its height, but this does help smoothe my silhouette; I have short legs with a long torso, since that’s relevant. The elastic of the band is wide and seems a little stiff, but if you keep it up above any tummy pooching [near the underbust], it’s pretty unnoticeable – I hate feeling clothes bind, constrict, rub, or put undue pressure, and it didn’t bother me. They ARE long enough that they barely or almost show below my skirts that are a little above knee-length, but again, I’ve short legs so take that into account. Most folks didn’t notice it. Also, it takes a little wiggling to get the crotch area tucked up agains the body, but if you’re gentle in the pulling and wiggling, this won’t stretch out the shorts [much] and they offer a nice, form-hugging but not constricting fit.

Light, Comfy, Stays Put
I teach Zumba and wanted some shorter leggings that are a light comfortable material for the summer months when it’s very hot and humid where I live. These not only are a light, stretchy, breathable material, but they made the bottom hem a little tighter than the rest of the shorts, and it keeps them in place even when I’m jumping around teaching Zumba! Meanwhile, the waist elastic is very comfy, not too tight the way many waistbands are on these. This is the only problem I’ve had with short leggings/biker shorts in the past – if the material is light and cool, they usually ride up, and if they stay put, it’s because they’re made of very thick, unbreathable materials with a waistband that cuts of your circulation. Great price too – I’m really glad I found these.

really comfortable
i wear these for treadmill walking every evening & used to buy champion & nike but can’t find a longer version from either company any more so i tried these. i don’t want something stupidly short – my thighs ain’t that thin – so was very glad to find this longer version. they’re great! very comfy, not too tight, not too short. these are going to be my go-to walking shorts from now on, thanks danskin!update: even though i found a pair of champion shorts (which i used to wear), i just bought another pair of these instead so you know i’m very satisfied with them. they don’t have a crotch insert which i prefer & they feel more cottony than spandexy & i prefer that, too. highly recommended.update: just bought my third pair. it’s hard to find these with a cotton blend which i prefer b/c they’re not so tight. these are the best!!

Fits well
Nice and comfy; stays put for the most part. I have these for many months now and the fabric is still holding up to the wear and washing. I find it has begun to ride up a bit these days but I suppose that is expected with regular (and I mean regular; I practically live in them) wear ☺. I am due another pair and will do so soon.

Perfect for hot weather.
I have several different danskin ‘shorts’ these are thinner than my other ones, which is exactly what i wanted for the hot summer shorts.These are very casual so i wear when i’m at home lounging/ gardening/checking the mail etc. I went up a size for a slightly oversized fit and they fit just as a wanted, not tighter as seen on the model.

Cheap Substitute – Beware
I have gotten three pairs of these bike shorts before and love them. They have a wide, comfortable waistband, the length is a true 7″ and the material is smooth, soft and holds up well in washing. Love them. I just ordered another pair and unfortunately, put them in the wash straightaway without checking. They are CHEAP, tacky, thin cotton with a 1/2″ elastic in the wide waistband so I know will roll and not lie flat. The fit is not smooth and the proportions are off so the legs are tight and the waist loose. A totally different product than advertised and what had been previously shipped (3 times). The original product (as advertised) was worth the $20 but what I just received is not even worth $5. Very disappointed in Danskin and Amazon fulfillment for the ‘switcheroo’ of a very inferior product. Buyer beware – even if you use ‘order again’ – because you might get cheap crap.

Ehhhh I’m conflicted
Pros:- comfy- soft- good length- great for sleeping- great under dresses and skirtsCons:- thin- stretches out quicklyI used to get these years ago when they were thicker and more durable. They are not that now, they are thin and stretch out quickly. I like the waist band, it doesn’t give me muffin top. I got another 3 pack of black bike shorts on Amazon and the waist band was so skinny it was awful. These are nice and wide and blend in to your body really well. They are like a second skin. Super comfortable. I wish they were thicker like they used to be. And no pockets.Overall, I love these shorts, they are my favorite shorts. But they should not cost $20 and they should not stretch out as quickly as they do.

I have quite a variety of leggings/shorts and Danskin is by far my favorite….they fit like they’re tailor made. This is my first pair of shorts I’m 5’5″ and the leg s.tops right where I like….the only 2 cons I have are that they don’t come in more colors and I wish they had pockets…..definitely will purchase more. Btw I am a 59 yr old woman and lg so 2X fits me perfectly….I love to wear my leggings out with a nice long top and they hold up so well they don’t loose their shape or color…I have no dried them in a dryer ….

They fit a bit bigger than I thought but I use as sleep shorts so they are great 🙂 I normally like skin tight so might get a couple pairs down a size in the future to use as a shapewear under a skirt. Very comfortable andbreathable. Not seethrough so can be worn alone as well. I also wear these with the elastic band folded down because otherwise it would go up to my belly button. Again this wiuld work very well for shapewear though!

I like the material; I don’t get hot wearing these. I also like the length – they don’t ride up when I walk. These fit a little big and I found that they stretch out after a few washes, so I wish I had bought the size smaller.
