I’m ordering more now! I had previously tried another popular brand “[insert boy name here]”. I was looking for something that was equal with that lingering luxury smell, but at a better price. This made the cut. I will say, i do mix it with my regular detergent, so I cannot attest to it use by itself.

4 oz. size is strictly for trial
4 oz. doesn’t sound like a lot of detergent and when I actually received it, well, it was still less than I expected. This is basically 2 loads worth. The 4 oz. size should only be considered as a sampler to see if you like the fragrance and cleaning performance.That said I think the fragrance is a really nice change of pace from most laundry detergents which tend to be excessively floral. I’m a guy and I liked this fragrance. I usually stick with unscented, but my boss is in charge of the laundry and she usually gets something with typical laundry fragrance. Anyway the bottom line is that this smells nice and is not overpowering or anything.As a detergent it seemed to work fine. We don’t have especially badly soiled loads or anything to see if this would remove the toughest stains. For regular laundry it works as well as any mainstream detergent. It’s as easy to use as any other liquid detergent.The 4 oz. is definitely not a good value, like I said it’s just a trial size. But even the bigger sizes are pretty expensive. The fragrance is nice but not nice enough for us to justify these prices. So not a good value.

I absolutely love this detergent. I had a few hiccups with my first two orders never being delivered. But finally the 3 rd one arrived and it’s a good long lasting scent and cleans my laundry well. The bottle is a great size. And the company sent me a half off coupon so I was thrilled. It’s perfect in every way.

Tiniest bottle of nice detergent
This is a tiny 4 oz twist top bottle of Purely Elegant Refined Laundry Detergent, in Lavender & Chamomile. It arrived factory sealed, although a little of the detergent had leaked just into the cap (not pouring down the bottle or anything like that). This is a clear laundry detergent that has a very strong scent. It is a pleasant natural scent though, and very easily identifiable as lavender and chamomile, so that is a good thing. It is toxin and irritant free, biodegradable, and septic safe. It did a fine job getting my clothes clean, and it does leave some scent on the clothes but it is just the right amount of scent, it’s not super strong. This tiny bottle is probably great if you’re traveling and putting it in luggage or something. It’s not so great if you’re just going about your life doing your laundry. It is enough to do four small loads, or two medium loads.

Great Scent – Not a Great Value
This Purely Elegant Lavender & Chamomile detergent is a nice change of pace, fragrance-wise. Cleans laundry decently, but I didn’t feel like the scent lasted very long at all. The real issue is the price – following the instructions on the bottle, I only got 2 loads and that’s not great! If it were more highly concentrated, maybe. As a travel-size, it’s cute, but not worth the price overall. Nice fragrance, but not enough to justify the cost. Three stars – might be okay for a tiny trial, but not for regular use.

Love the scent, not the price
I received the 4 oz bottle and was able to get two full loads out of it, which felt reasonable for the size. The Amber and Moss scent is the standout: it made my bedding smell amazing. The scent lingered in the room after washing and drying, and my clothes and sheets smelled clean, warm, and earthy without being overpowering.One thing that surprised me was how thin the liquid is. It’s much more watery than I expect from a concentrated detergent, which initially made me skeptical. That said, it still worked well. I used it in an HE washer and everything came out clean with no residue.Overall, this feels like a great option for travel, small loads, or trying out a higher-end detergent scent without committing to a large bottle. The fragrance alone makes it feel like a little upgrade, but $10 for a small 4 ounce container that only gets two loads is way too much.
