smelled delicious before opening, strong out of the bottle but more muted on your skin, expensive
I am highly sensitive to scent induced headaches and migraines and most floral scents are a no-go for me. Rose is one of the very few floral fragrances that I can tolerate, though as with any other, it can vary from one product to another. The moment I took this bottle out of the package I was immediately hit with all of the delicious notes in this blend. At first I couldn’t place it, but soon realized it was the pepper that first hit me, which caught me off guard. I am rather obsessed with it, regarding my food. I don’t generally consider it being used in scented products, but this only added to the depth at which this soap hit my senses. I had only read as far as rose, amber and sandalwood, when I was sold. Sometimes I struggle with amber, but since it was in a blend like this, it seemed it should be muted enough for me to handle. I found that each of these scents was well distributed and complimented one another. It was also strong right out of the bottle, and came out as a dark amber liquid. A little lathered fairly well with a bath sponge. Once on, I felt that the over all scent was far more muted, but I could still smell traces of it on my skin, hours later. As a rare blend of things I love but cannot always tolerate, I have to say that I was highly impressed by the fragrance, in general.I have mixed feelings when it comes to the longevity of this scent. If too overpowering, it will trigger headaches, no matter how much I may enjoy it. I did expect this to be a little more noticeable, on, but maybe for someone like me, the subtly is possibly a blessing. For the size of the bottle received, I would still have to say that this is expensive at 28 for 8 oz. While the scent was different from your average, I still cannot justify the cost. It is a pleasant experience to wash with this product and it has not caused any adverse side effects, just a gentle and soothing clean. This will be more of a special occasion than just my every day sort of wash.

Fresh Spa-Like Body Wash
I’ve been using this body wash daily, and it’s turned my regular showers into something that feels a little more special. The scent was the first thing that stood out—it’s a soft aquatic floral with a clean, airy feel, not sweet or heavy. I can pick up the bergamot and freesia right away, with a subtle musky note that lingers just enough after rinsing. It lathers nicely without needing a lot of product, and the gel feels smooth and gentle on my skin. I’ve used it both in quick morning showers and slower evening ones, and it works well for both. What I really appreciate is how it leaves my skin feeling clean but not tight or dry. I have fairly sensitive skin, and this hasn’t caused any irritation or itching. The scent doesn’t clash with perfume or lotion, which is a big plus for me.

Mildly scented body wash
The scent “Floating Forest” reminds me of walking through a forest while it rains. It’s a mild, but pleasant woody scent that doesn’t overwhelm the senses or cause a headache. It cleans well without leaving the skin feeling stripped. Although the brand markets this as a luxury body wash, it feels comparable to inexpensive body washes I’ve tried. I think the packaging and texture misses the mark for me. When I imagine a luxury body wash, I picture a more elegant texture (the texture of this body wash is on the thicker side) and a pump dispenser. I just remember getting frustrated with these cheap, plastic squeeze bottles that not only makes it difficult to dispense the right amount, but also takes longer to dispense once a certain amount has been used up. Overall, I enjoy this body wash but likely would not purchase again if I’m looking to splurge on a luxury body wash.

Surprisingly Lovely Scent & Great Lather — Perfect for Spooky-Scent Lovers
This is a lovely body wash! I’m normally not a fan of rose-scented products, but I was really drawn in by the amber and sandalwood notes — and they did not disappoint. The rose is soft and subtle, while the deeper musky notes come through beautifully and balance everything out. It’s a smoky floral in the best way.I’m also a sucker for anything spooky-themed, so the name “Haunted Rose” definitely grabbed my attention. Luckily, the formula is just as good as the aesthetic. The body wash is thick, lathers really nicely, and leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling stripped or dry.If you like scents with a moody, warm, slightly mysterious vibe, this is a great pick. Overall, a beautifully done body wash and a fun addition to my shower routine.

Not worth the price tag
This is a nice body wash, but I honestly question whether the eight ounce size is worth the hefty price tag. I love that it is made in the USA, but there are plenty of other brands made here (even with globally sourced materials) that cost way less. The bottle itself is pretty basic too. It is just a standard squeeze bottle with a push cap that you really have to press to get anything out. And eight ounces of body wash feels almost like a trial size when most brands give you something closer to thirty two ounces. As for the fragrance, I am not totally sure what I expected “floating forest” to smell like. It smells fine, and I would use it again, but I would not necessarily describe it as “floating forest.” The lather is nice and the scent is decent, so I will finish the bottle, but I definitely would not pay twenty eight dollars for another bottle.
