Great product!
I didn’t realize this is one of the ingredients in the classic scent AD&D ointment. When I smelled it for the first time I immediately thought of that ointment that I used often as a child. I don’t think the smell is bad/overwhelming. The moisture is great, I use for my lips and hands in the winter.It was stiff when I started using it, but once you get a few uses, it becomes thinner and more malleable.

It’s pure lanolin and much thicker than Vaseline so it will sit on the skin for a while if you don’t rub it in until it’s completely absorbed. But it’s great!

Dry heat indoors in the winter, outdoor conditions, hot dry summers ~ this lanolin balm never disappoints. It carries just the right balance of moisturizing to sealant. So it moisturizes and seals from outer elements. Works on lips, cuts, bites, wrinkles, feet, dry pathes or scars.I do put some in a much smaller jar I got from my first order of farm produced lanolin. I squirt one or two beef tallow capsules to add even more beneficial ingredients to the small jar I carry with me.

Sticky
Very “sticky” and has a bad odor.Seller reached out stating their lanolin is unrefined, so it’s in the most natural state to preserve its beneficial properties without heavy processing. The distinct scent is completely natural. They choose not to use chemicals to strip this aroma or add synthetic fragrances to mask it because they want to ensure the product remains as pure and additive-free as possible.I appreciate their response, it’s just not for me.

I’m not sold.
I’m sure this is authentic lanolin, but I was not prepared for how sticky it is. I read that lanolin absorbs right into the skin, but I can’t touch anything for hours after putting this on my hands because everything sticks to them. Can’t tell if it actually moistuizes or is just an occlusive (substance to prevent water loss). ALSO I wish I’d gone with a Prime seller so I can return the product. Now Foods has a 7 oz jar of pure lanolin for the same price and here I settled for 3 oz less with a product that I can’t return in the event I decide maybe I just want to stick to shea butter so I can use my hands.

Lanolin prevents split fingertips!
I play the guitar. During the winter, I struggle with split fingers and thumbs, making it impossible to play. This past winter, I applied this lanolin to my finger tips twice a day (after shower and before bed). I had NO split fingers all winter. Yee-haw!
