Best Prenatal IMHO
LOVE LOVE LOVE this prenatal multivitamin– I also take it postnatal to keep up my multivitamin in the unknown caloric intake of motherhood (including breastfeeding). I don’t have a hard time taking pills even while pregnant in the first trimester nauseous but I could see if you have a tough time swallowing pills that a gummy or the powder may be a better option. I took this before bed to help with any potential stomach issues. I didn’t mind the taste- it does have a little bit of a smell that could be triggering, but I think if you kept the cap off in a safe area that it wouldn’t be so pungent when you open it. Again, didn’t really affect me. I LOVE the quality of ingredients in Needed– it is a bit expensive in my opinion; however, with such quality ingredients I will choose to pay for it. I do think it was very effective for me throughout pregnancy– I really didn’t struggle with morning sickness (not that a multivitamin has a huge factor over that) but I stayed healthy throughout pregnancy and I do think it helped balance out my postpartum hormones and hair loss.

So sad
EDIT: I’m changing my rating from 1 star to 5. The company reached out to me and offered a replacement shipped directly from their warehouse. They also offered to send me a scent insert that will help with the smell, it lasts 3-4 bottles. If you are having a problem with the smell reach out to the company! I still give the supplement itself 5 stars. I found out I’m having twins so I’m super glad I switched to these from a gummy to give my babies and body the nutrients it needs. I haven’t had any problems with them making me nauseous. I’m now in my second trimester and the smell isn’t as bad.I give the supplement itself 5 stars, it has the amount of nutrients I was looking for. The quality control gets zero stars. A lot of the pills are poorly filled, I would say about half are only 3/4 full, the rest are either all the way full or less than half full. For $60 I expected better. The amount of pills doesn’t bother me. There are 8 in a serving because of the amount of nutrients in them. You can’t fit that amount into 1 pill so it won’t be a “one a day” type of prenatal. If you want to take less pills you will have to get a prenatal with less nutrients. The smell is pretty bad but so far I haven’t had a problem taking them. To me it smells like rotten protein powder or sometimes an old pee diaper.

Get Needed!!!
I am Using Pre and Post Natal while breastfeeding. These Do not make me nauseous, they do not have that disgusting multivitamin smell that a lot of prenatal shave. They work very well. I feel more alert, more energizined and motivated when I take them. I wish they could get the same amount of nutrients to fit into only 4 capsules instead 8! But I split it up into 4 at morning and 4 at dinner. I love these though. Here’s why:I did EXTENSIVE research on bioavailability of prenatal vitamins before selecting one. Comparing ,literally side by side screenshots of ingredients and nutrients and vitamins. Needed BY FAR outperforms all others I found, including Theralogix which is insanely expensive. That is to say, needed is made with all of the most usable versions of their active ingredients so that your body can efficiently AND effectively use what you are giving it. Please, Do Not waste money on any prenatal that uses FOLIC ACID for folate, get Needed. Needed also has more than what the bare minimum recommendations are so that you can be completely sure you’re getting more than enough nutrients to provide exceptional health for yourself and your growing baby. Because as mothers we don’t want our babies to have just average, “barely enough” health, we want them to have exceptional health. I do wish they were more affordable for lower income mommas, because lower income moms deserve quality vitamins that are effective and bioavailable and not pumped with a bunch of synthetics. Truthfully nobody deserves to be pumped with synthetic vitamins. I do wish they had multi vitamin gummies for my toddler! They would change the game entirely for a quality OTC multivitamin for kids. Our kids deserve to be healthier and it starts with healthier nutrient sources! Thank you, Needed! Just what I Needed for me and my LO.

The Smell
I was so excited about this product due to the ingredients. I opened the package and what a horrible smell that came out. I took two pills and 1) they were hard to get down and 2) I keep burping up that same smell. I couldn’t sleep for how nauseous I was. I only took two and come to find out, I can not return these. I’m so upset.

Smells and tastes awful
Great product but honestly they smell and taste sooooo awful, I honestly can’t handle it. You also need to take 8 per day but I have only been able to stomach 4, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening and just taking 4 has honestly been so rough! I also feel like their always stuck at the back of my throat no matter how much i drink or eat through out the day. I like the quality, I like that they are tested for quality but these are just not for me.

Clean product, but other aspects of this product have made it quite disappointing
I love that this prenatal vitamin focuses on getting mom and baby all the nutrients needed for thriving, but I would say that I have been overall pretty disappointed with this product for a few reasons.First, the stomach discomfort I experienced after ingesting these pills has been significant. Additionally, EIGHTS pills is a lot to swallow if you are experiencing morning sickness or gagging. The size of the pill was not a problem for me, but might be for other women who have a hard time swallowing pills. I would also say the smell is HORRIBLE! It makes the morning sickness even worse than I have already been experiencing!Overall, I have loved the quality of this brand including the 3rd party testing, quality of the folic acid, etc. but I am severely disappointed with the other aspects of this product. I will certainly be trying another brand before going back to this one.

Great but pricey!
Love these and do feel like they gave me added support. However, you have to take 8 at a time and they are high on price point: I don’t think I will purchase again considering I’m a new mom and diapers and formula come first.
