I don’t care for this particular type of magnesium at first. I use magnesium with melatonin to help me sleep. The first couple of weeks these didn’t seem to help me much but now they are working much better. Maybe I was low on magnesium when I started taking them.

I bought these for my daughter who gets terrible period pains and heavy flow. I know that magnesium deficiency can exacerbate these symptoms. She was previously on a magnesium bisglycinate but after 2 months use, no improvement in symptoms was seen. So, I decided to give this one a try and she got good results within the first 4 weeks with significantly reduced pain and we noticed a huge improvement in her mood, which can be very dark and irritable. That was a bonus. We will continue using this supplement. My daughter is 14, soon to turn 15. I did a lot of research online and found that 13-18 year old females tolerate around 350mg of magnesium per day. Even at the full dose of 3 capsules per day this product does not exceed that recommendation, so although it says not suitable for children. We have found it beneficial and I’m not worried.

This is a great product and so far it has helped me with my restless leg/periodic limb movement. I sleep better. One word of warning is that I started with three capsules in the morning and three at night and the first couple of days I felt great. Then the nausea set in. I got a really upset stomach and felt out of sorts for the next few days. Couple of weeks later I started taking again but only three capsules a day straight after my evening meal. It has solved the nausea problem and I do feel better all round. I would recommend this product and I hope I can buy it again when I run out as I think it is helping. Maybe also important to note that I quit caffeine almost entirely. I have one coffee a day in the morning. Then I take only de-caf tea or coffee.
