How to Use

1. Sterilize
“Oh it looks like that time of the month again.” But this time you’re calm and confident because you know your Tulip cup is stored in its pouch and waiting to be used whenever you’re ready!
Before using your Tulip cup at the start of each cycle, make sure to sterilize it. The easiest way to do this is to submerge it in water and put it in the microwave until it starts to boil. Alternatively, you can also boil it in a pot on the stove or use a menstrual cup sterilizer.

2. Insert
Your Tulip cup might seem big at first but I promise you it fits! There are a few different ways you can insert your Tulip cup so you may want to experiment to find what works for you. Common favorites are the 7-fold and the pushdown fold because they make the insertion point small and unfold easily once inside.
You may find it helpful to watch a couple videos to learn some useful tips. Some people have used leaky menstrual cups for years only to discover through watching a video that if they slightly adjusted how they inserted it, there would be absolutely no leakage!

3. Live Freely
Ah. Give yourself some time to relax. You deserve it. With your Tulip cup in, you are free to do anything from swimming to chasing the kids around the house to confidently giving an important presentation at work.
One of the best parts is that you can wear your Tulip cup for up to 12 hours. And because it’s made of 100% pure medical-grade silicone, you don’t have to worry about harmful toxins.
A good way to know when it’s time to empty your Tulip cup is once you start to feel it getting full.

4. Remove
Thanks to the ring, removing your Tulip cup is a breeze. The ring is designed to be just the right size so you only need to use one finger.
First, break the seal by pressing on the side of the cup. Next, hook your finger in the ring and gently pull until you can grip the bottom.
Once it’s out, empty the cup into the toilet and rinse it with fragrance-free soap or a menstrual cup cleanser. Then you can reinsert your Tulip cup or store it until next month!

Safe Alternative
Your Tulip cup can help with period issues such as dryness, odor, irritations, and itching. It’s made of 100% soft durable medical silicone, and is hypoallergenic and vegan-friendly, BPA-free and phthalate-free, with no harsh chemicals or toxins.

Saves Money and the Environment
You can use your Tulip cup for years with proper care, saving hundreds of dollars on disposable pads and tampons! Not to mention you can feel good about preventing thousands of tampons from ending up in landfills and polluting the ocean.

One of the best menstrual cups
The Tulip menstrual cup is in my top 2 kinds, and is my number 1 in cups with rings. It’s just right as far as firmness goes, so you’re not waiting forever for it to pop open, you’re not cringing during removal, or praying it won’t collapse or shoot out if you sneeze. The RING is what makes this a 5 star cup. I have back issues so sometimes I can’t bend far enough to grab a stem. The ring is sturdy and sticks out just enough to hook or pinch it. Only odd thing is that their small fits like a medium, and their medium fits like a large.

Runs big
I really like the ring at the bottom. It’s much easier to remove than other ones I’ve used. But I bought the larger one after having a baby, and it looks and feels 2 or 3 sizes bigger than my original other brand. Made me sore. But if the larger one in other brands feel small for you, this might be perfect for you.P.S. these should not make you sore. If it does, it’s either not placed correctly or it’s too big. Try inserting dry. That makes a difference for me. And opt for a smaller size if needed. It may take some time getting used to it. That’s okay, you’re not the only one.

Large with a bad bag, but functional
This cup works well, contains the blood. It does feel a little big (I ordered the medium as I have had multiple kids) which is a bit uncomfortable. When I pee with it in it impedes the flow a bit. It does leak if it fills up (I have heavy periods. I ended up pushing with a patient for three hours and then ended up in the OR with her and it leaked, but anything would have). MY other problem with it is the bag. It is this stupid silky type material which leaves strings on the cup when I take it out of the bag.

Good suction and comfortable
I have only tried two menstrual cups. I am late 40s, two vaginal births, and a very heavy flow. The other cup I tried didn’t make a nice seal I think due to the smaller rim. This has a larger rim and is easier to get in place. I bear down when I insert it and i can feel it open all the way. It does leak a little (just need a thin pad) on my heaviest day because I think the holes on the sides are blocked. On medium to light flow days I can wear for 4-8 hours without leaks. The heavy days I can only wear for 2-3 hours but this is the same time that I can wear the largest tampon. I was hoping this would fix all my problems with heavy periods. It did not due to leaks and mess (taking out in a public bathroom is gross!), but on lighter days I love that I can save money and wear all day. The ring is not noticable and it’s easy to remove. I don’t pull by the ring. I reach in an squeeze the cup and release the suction. It is so loud which is good because I know it was sealed.

Comfortable
I love this one! I have tried about 3 others and this one if my favorite. The loop at the end is the best for removing

Great product
I’ve used the Diva cup for years but wanted a cheaper alternative. I found this cup and love it. It’s pliable and easy to get in and out. The color makes for less staining. The ring is a bit weird, I like it to grasp when removing but I haven’t figured out how to put the cup in so the ring is in line.

Sturdy
I got this cup to replace my Saalt cup after the retrieval notch ripped off. This cup doesn’t have that problem (so far – knock on wood) since it has a strong loop to pull on when you’re ready to remove it.At first I thought it was too big (I got the medium whereas my Saalt was a small), but it turns out that it’s the perfect size! I fold it into the C-shape to insert it and after about 10 minutes of moving/walking around, it unfolds and opens into place on its own. It’s great for long-wear (I’ve kept it in for 12 hours and overnight on heavy days) without causing irritation or discomfort. I still use tampons on lighter days, but diva cups were a game changer for my heavy days!
